2.4 Open the properties
for the LAN connection
and click on "Internet
protocol Version 4
(TCP/IPv4)".
2.3 Click on "Change
adapter Settings".
3.12 Start the commissioning wizard to address
the slaves and load the configuration into the
Safety Gateway (BWU2828). Connect the
Gateway (BWU2828) and follow the steps in the
commissioning wizard.
3.14 Confirm the protocols and click on
"Finish".
3.13 Change the interface of the Gateway as
follows (example):
IP-Address:192.168.42.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Standard gateway: 192.168.42.202

software and follow the screen instructions.

Module" of the E-STOP Button Module (BW2529)
into the &-device in OSSD1 and the dev ice "1-3
S15/16 E-stop" into the &-device in OSSD7.
3.7 Click on "Safe inputs" and deactivate all safe
inputs except for S15/16, since an E-STOP is
connected here. The settings for the outputs
remain unchanged.
3.5 Use the menu point "Add Slave" to select the
connected E-STOP Button Module (BW2529).
3.6 Click on "Add Slave" and select the ASi
Safety 8I/1O module (BWU2578).
3.8 The slave addresses can be easily
changed in this view using drag-and-drop. All
devices are now added. Now click on "OK".
ASIMON360 creates a basic configuration.
3.1 Start ASIMON360 and select "New
workspace" and click on "Create".
3.2 The hardware configuration opens. Select the
ASi 3.0 PROFINET Gateway with integrated safety
monitor (BWU2828).
3.3 Set the local inputs and outputs by
selecting a standard input (rocker switch)
on SI1.
3.4 Enable the global error unlock by selecting the
"Service" tag, checking the fiel d "global error
unlock" and selecting address SI1 (for the rocker
switch). Confirm with OK.
3.9 Add to this basic configuration by selecting the
device "SI1 Standard input" in the catalog
selection and dragging it to the restart in OSSD7.
3.10 Drag the device "SI1 Standard input" into
the monitored start-device in OSSD1 and
OSSD7.
3.15 The ASIMON diagnostics becomes visible. You
can monitor and test your configuration. Operating
the rocker switch activates the error unlock, the
restart and the monitored start (in both OSSDs).

3Creating the device configuration
2.1 For this Quick Start Guide we use
a subset of the Small Starter Kit Saf e
Link (BW3000).
This Quick Start Guide consists of the
ASi 3.0 PROFINET Gateway with
integrated safety monitor (BWU2828,
with a rocker switch on SI1), the ASi
Safety 8I/1O Module (BWU2578, with
E-STOP an SI15/SI16) as well as the
Safety E-STOP Button Module
(BW2529) (see fig., from left to right).
2.5 Fill in as follows
(example):
IP-Address:
192.168.42.1
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
Standard gateway:
192.168.42.200
3.16 Push the E-STOP on the ASi Safety 8I/1O
Module (BWU2576). Then operate the rocker switch
again to restart the OSSD7. Finally repeat the
procedure with the E-STOP Button Module
(BWU2529).
