    • How does your teaching address these factors on a daily basis?
    • How might you adjust your classes in consideration of these factors?
  2. Observe: Observe your students during class. Document the individual learning factors that you think influence their learning the most. Describe the results in a brief report.
    • Observe your students while they work in class, or videotape them to view later.
    • Take notes on the individual learning factors discussed in this lesson.
    • Describe which factors seem to influence your students' learning the most.
    • Propose teaching solutions in consideration of these factors.

  3. Classroom Research: Implement an inventory with your students in order to understand them better as learners. Describe the results as well as any changes this has had on your teaching.
    • Determine which area you would like to research: learning styles, motivation or other.
    • Develop a hypothesis of how you think your learners will respond, based on your own observation and work with them.
    • Implement an inventory from this lesson, find one on the Web or in other resources, or write your own.
    • Use the results to write a profile of the learners in your class, including possible implications for your teaching.

RESPONSE:

I chose Reflect for one thing, in my opinion it’s very important to identify and understand the many difficulties or challenges students face as individuals. In this case, some differences between different-aged learners start with the independence they look for, for example; adult learners are very independent, while young learners get stuck in the middle of being dependent or trying to be independent without making too many mistakes. On one hand, giving adults some autonomy in the lessons is possible and even beneficial, but always checking after them because with students their age is very important to guide and somehow control their learning without them noticing. I do this by letting adults work things out for themselves rather than giving them the answers, asking them to organize themselves into pairs or groups instead of allocating partners, and even giving input into the topics or activities of the lessons. On the other hand, with teens, it is necessary to plan the lesson giving clear instructions, monitoring students closely and deal effectively with any issues of classroom management. Not to mention
