Personal Leadership Philosophies Walden University NURS-6053N- Dr. Amber Donnelli January 05, 2025

My leadership philosophy is built on my core values of integrity, empathy, a growth mindset, collaboration, and vision. Integrity is the foundation of my leadership approach because it ensures I remain honest and ethical in every situation I am in. Empathy allows me to truly connect with others, fostering trust and understanding. A growth mindset motivates me to keep learning and improving, enabling resilience and adaptability when facing challenges. Collaboration emphasizes the importance of working together and leveraging everyone’s strengths to achieve common goals. Finally, having a clear vision inspires me to guide others toward a brighter, shared future. My personal mission is to inspire and empower individuals and teams to reach their full potential by creating a positive, respectful, and growth-focused environment. My vision statement is to be a transformative leader who nurtures innovative and inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued and driven to contribute. With this mission and vision, I aim to lead authentically, inspire confidence, and foster a culture where people and ideas thrive. The Clifton Strengths assessment I took revealed my top five strengths, positivity, harmony, woo, intellection, and futuristic (Rath, 2007). These strengths perfectly complement my leadership philosophy. Positivity helps me bring enthusiasm and energy to those around me, lifting spirits and creating an optimistic environment (Rath, 2007). Harmony drives my ability to find common ground and resolve conflicts peacefully (Rath, 2007). Woo reflects my natural ability to connect with people and build relationships effortlessly. Intellection shows my love for deep thinking and exploring ideas, which helps me approach challenges thoughtfully (Rath, 2007). Lastly, Futuristic fuels my excitement about possibilities and inspires others with a hopeful vision for the future (Rath, 2007). These strengths align well with my core values and shape how I lead.

reduce my workload but also empower my team to become more self-reliant and confident (Broome & Marshall, 2021). Achieving my vision will require consistent practice, learning, and self-reflection. I’ll regularly seek feedback from my peers and team members to better understand my leadership impact and identify areas for further improvement (Lesko, 2015). By refining my leadership approach and staying committed to personal growth, I aim to create an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative environment where everyone can thrive (Broome & Marshall, 2021). Ultimately, I want to leave a positive and lasting impact, not just within my team or organization, but in every interaction and relationship I cultivate.
