The nervous system has the function of controlling and regulating the functioning of various organs and systems, detecting external and internal changes and responding through muscles or glands. GENERAL INFORMATION

Central Nervous System

Function

Its function is to

receive, integrate

and correlate

sensory information.

The central nervous system is made up of two organs Brain and Spinal cord

And these structures are connected to the spinal cord. The encephalon , is divided into parts such as Cerebrum, cerebellum, brain stem.

BRAIN STEM

Brainstem has three structures

that communicate to the spinal

cord:

  • (^) Mesencephalon (midbrain)
  • (^) Metencephalon (Pons)
  • (^) Myelencephalon (Medulla
