Use of simple present passive
The Simple Present Passive is used in English to
describe actions that are happening in the present
or are habitual actions. It focuses on the action
itself and is often used when the doer of the action
is not important or known
Form of simple present
passive
The Simple Present Passive is formed by
using the verb "to be" (in the present simple)
followed by the past participle form of the
main verb.
Affirmative form
Subject + "am/is/are" (present simple form of "to be")
+ past participle
I am taught by my teacher
The document is printed by the printer.
Negative form
Subject + "am not/isn't/aren't" (present
simple form of "to be") + past participle
I am not taught by my teacher.
The document isn't printed by the printer.
Interrogative form
"Am/Is/Are" (present simple form of "to be")
+ Subject + past participle
Are you taught by your teacher? Is the
