Presentation: Good morning teacher, my name is.......... Below I will explain how today's technology would have served my grandparents. Small Introduction: Imagine for a moment that our grandparents had had access to this incredible invention in their youth: the smartphone. This device, which today is an essential tool in our daily lives, would have radically transformed the way we live, communicate and work. o Scene 1 : If my grandparents had had a smartphone when they were young, they would have been able to communicate with their friends and family anytime, anywhere. They would surely have avoided many difficulties they experienced by relying on letters or landlines. For example, if my grandfather had had WhatsApp, he wouldn't have had to wait days to receive important news. o Scene 2 : Additionally, if they had been able to use the apps to study or work remotely, perhaps they would have had the opportunity to learn faster and access knowledge that was previously out of reach. If my grandmother had been able to use apps like Google Maps, she wouldn't have had to waste so much time looking for directions. It is possible that they would have even moved to other cities, as he could have worked from anywhere, a possibility that did not even exist in his time. o Scene 3 : The smartphone would also have saved them a lot of time and money. They would have been able to make video calls instead of long trips to see loved ones, which would have reduced transportation costs considerably. Also, if they had access to online stores, they would have spent less time and money searching for products as they could have compared prices and options from home.
