Utilizamos en meses, estaciones, años y siglos: in May, in summer, in 1992, in the past, in the last
century. Además en algunas partes del Día: in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening.
Example: My birthday is in October
ON
La usamos al hablar de días de la semana, fechas: on Saturday, on 7th October, on 5th March 2010, y
dias especiales on my birthday, on Christmas day, etc. Otras son: on Friday morning, on Tuesday
afternoon, on Sunday evening.
Example: I was born on 4th January 1987.
AFTER detrás de, después de. Puede indicar tiempo o lugar.
Example: She left after lunch. / Se marchó después de comer
DURING Significado: durante. Uso: Puede ir seguido de verbos y nombres o sustantivos. Ejemplos:
Don’t talk during the movie. (No hables durante la película.)
FOR
Significado: durante. Uso: Se coloca detrás de verbos y nombres o sustantivos. Éste se utiliza para
expresar un período de tiempo ya sean días, horas, meses o años.
I lived in England for three years. (Viví en Inglaterra durante tres años.)
BEFORE delante de, ante. Puede indicar tiempo, lugar o circunstancia
He arrived before me / Llegó antes que yo
AT : en la hora
Se utiliza para indicar la hora, asi como los horas nocturana: at night, at midnight, at noon
BEHIND detrás de. Puede indicar tiempo, lugar o circunstanciaI put it behind the painting / Lo puse detrás
del cuadro
