Body Systems
The nervous system coordinates the their actions and sensory information by transmitting signals to different parts of the body. The principal function is send signals to the body, this can be by chemical process that make hormones. Other way is by sings called “point-to-point”, where neurons project their axons to a specific target areas and make synaptic connections. Nervous System
The respiratory system is the system that allows us to breath. This act includes the inhalation and exhalation of air into the body, the absorption of oxygen from the air in order to produce energy, and the discharge of carbon dioxide. Respiratory System
This system includes all the bones and joints of the body. It gives protection to the soft tissues, but also attachments pints for the muscles to allow movements at the joints. Functions: -Sustains -Protection -Movement assistant -Mineral homeostasis Skeleton System
Is an organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles. It permits the movement of the body, maintains posture and circulates blood throughout the body. It’s controlled by the nervous system although some muscles like cardiac muscles. Muscular System
Immune System Is a host defense system that protects against diseases. Its function is to detect a wide variety of agents known as pathogens, from viruses to parasitic worms and distinguish them from the organism’s own healthy tissue. There are two divisions of the system: Innate immune system Adaptive immune system.
Endocrine System Is a chemical messenger system comprising feedback loops of hormones released by internal glands of an organism directly into the circulatory system, regulating distant target organs. What is a gland? A gland is an organ that makes and puts out hormones that do a specific job in your body. Endocrine glands release the substances they make into your bloodstream.
Integumentary System It is an organ system that consist of the skin, hair, nails and endocrine glands. The skin barrier that protects the body from chemicals, UV light, physical damage, etc.. The hair and the nails reforce the skin and protects it from the environmental damage. The exocrine gland produce sweat and also
