CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background In an era that is free from this pandemic, many students take advantage of the crowded conditions on campus for entrepreneurship, one of which is selling. the motives of students to sell on campus are very diverse. some sell on the basis of getting capital to run events on campus, some sell to fulfill the requirements of sponsors, and some even sell to get extra pocket money. these selling activities are often referred to as "danusan". usually when doing danusan, the items you want to sell are spread first through social media or word of mouth. often danusan is done by selling directly around campus and getting buyers who are usually only close friends of the seller. not infrequently danusan is done by selling directly around campus and getting buyers who are usually only close friends of the seller. that's some of the factors that make selling in a conventional way as above still has many shortcomings. from the sales side, it is still less effective to get a lot of regular buyers. from the marketing side, potential buyers are only limited to people who know the seller and not infrequently people who have bought merchandise from students who first offer danusan choose not to buy again when there are other students who also danusan to him. In response to the high interest of students in entrepreneurship on campus, Student Merchant offers services in the form of a management system in the form of a platform for gadgets containing goods to be sold by students. later this platform can also make it easier for students who sell to get buyers without having to be tired around campus. finally, the service that will be launched aims so that merchandise can be sold to many people not only to close friends. 1.2 Vision To provide a digital selling platform as a place for students to carry out buying and selling activities carried out from a platform that can be accessed anywhere and anytime using the internet network. Our goal is to be an effective, efficient, and profitable selling place for students.

1.3 Mission

  1. Socialize the Student Merchant platform to all students of the State University of Jakarta.
  2. Provide periodic improvements to the Student Merchant platform for the convenience and security of platform users.
  3. Develop platform governance from observations carried out during the platform is used by users.
  4. Arranging permits to the campus and also the agencies under it for the trust of students.
  5. Collaborating with forums and organizations on campus in the development of the platform. 1.4 Business Objectives The Student Merchant platform aims to provide a space or place that supports students who have a desire for entrepreneurship. This platform is the answer to the common problems of students who fail in entrepreneurship in the campus environment. Prospectively, the Student Merchant platform will continue to be developed to become a program that can help students maximize profits from the sale of their merchandise.

2.4 Market Analysis Market Needs Market Competitors Market Opportunity Student Merchant App is a platform that becomes a place to sell students more effectively and efficiently. The high number of students who are entrepreneurs on campus and experience a lack of buyers makes a problem that requires a concrete solution. The competitors that appear when starting this business are other marketplaces whose names are already large and have more partners. Examples such as Tokopedia and shopee. The development of increasingly advanced technology and a university students' understanding of the utilization of technology in business development makes the Student Merchant App has a great opportunity to enter the market and beat competitors. 2.5.1 SWOT Analysis Strength The Student Merchant App can be used easily because with just a handphone and the internet, students can buy and sell and also see products that are currently spread on the platform. Weakness Because the Student Merchant App is a digital platform in the form of an application, to prevent bugs, it will increase costs for system maintenance. Opportunities The increased student interest in entrepreneurship in the campus environment provides a greater opportunity for our platform to be well accepted. Threat For a new platform like this, the threat can be the difficulty of gaining trust from potential users. In addition, security issues are also a threat to a mobile application. 2.5.2 4P Analysis Product (Service) Student Merchant App is a mobile application that is present to facilitate student entrepreneur activities and also provide prospective customers with the convenience of buying student merchandise. Price (Service Fee) This marketplace-based platform for encouraging student entrepreneurial activities provides a service price of 5% per transaction. The additional fee is automatically added when the customer pays for the transaction. Place (Service Location) Student Merchant App can be used easily by using a handphone and downloaded via PlayStore or AppStore. The application is run using the internet network. Promotion Using promotions through bodies or organizations that exist under the Jakarta State University, for example, Student Union and Ormawa. Besides that, it also utilizes events that are attended by student entrepreneurs such as seminars or webinars.

CHAPTER III

METHOD OF IMPLEMENTATION

3.1 Technical Implementation Student Merchant App requires an account first to run the application. after the user registers his account, the user can choose to use the application as a seller or buyer. if the user has chosen to be a seller, the user will register the merchandise. then if someone buys or orders, the transaction can run alone because it only requires action from the buyer. the seller can also discuss directly with potential buyers in the application. 3.2 Production Design The name of this business is Student Merchant App which shows that the platform we provide is specifically aimed at students. and this platform is also focused on marketplace services for students who want to sell their products. the logo design of this business also shows many student elements. Logo

3. 3 Marketing Strategy The services in the form of mobile applications that we provide are new innovations that certainly require a good marketing strategy. the marketing used in introducing this service must also be effective so that many students use the Student Merchant application service for the smooth running of their entrepreneurship. we utilize technological advances to help market this service. here are some marketing strategies that we will do to make Student Merchant become more and more users:

CHAPTER IV

FINANCIAL PLAN

4.1 Capital Sources Student Merchant App of course needs costs to run well. to solve the problem of costs, we plan for the initial capital that will be used for the smooth running of this business. Capital is obtained from personal money and also injections of funds from investors. Personal Funds 10% Rp 500, Investor 90% Rp 4,500, Total Rp 5,000, 4.2 Budget Plans BUDGETING PLAN Student Merchant App Description of Activities Estimated Quantity Estimated Price per Unit Estimated Subtotal Local Server 1 - year Rp 3,000,000 Rp 3,000, Application issuance fee 1 pc Rp 200,000 Rp 200, Security Software 1 - year Rp 400,000 Rp 400, Total Rp 3,600, 4.3 Profit and Loss Projection At the beginning of the establishment of a marketplace offered in the form of a mobile application, costs such as developer expenses, marketing expenses, operational expenses and salary expenses are reasonable if they exceed the income received. these expenses are only large at the beginning because the application- shaped services need time to be accepted by students. and over time, the income earned will be able to continue to increase to a point 70% above the amount of costs incurred for monthly capital. 4.4 Services Turnover

  • Services Price: 5% per transaction
  • Estimated a day at least 25 transactions running @Rp 15,
  • Estimated revenue/day: 5% x 15,000 x 25 = Rp 18,
  • Income/month: Rp18,750 x 30 = Rp 562,

CHAPTER V

CLOSING

There are many things that can be developed again in the world of student entrepreneurship on campus. one of them is like the one we made, which is a mobile application that will help in the efficiency of product sales or student merchandise. we pay attention to students who have the intention and enthusiasm that is intact and willing to be serious about entrepreneurship at a young age. the application we made will change the usual system of dealing with students from conventional to more digital. in the end, the Student Merchant App service here offers various benefits to users, such as ease in ordering merchandise to the development of an entrepreneurial culture for Indonesian students. Now, the Student Merchant App is still being developed and also updated regularly. what is expected from this business proposal is that it can make this service business that focuses on student welfare grow. This service also provides an easy place for students to open their trading stalls.
