The Best Way to Learn Grammar I think the first thing that you should do is learn the basics of grammar like all tenses. After that, read news/books, listen to English songs or watch movies with English subtitle so that you can understand how grammar is used and also you can have a good vocabulary knowledge too. There are several good online and print resources (dictionaries, for example) that may help you improve your grammatical skills. A quick Internet search will reveal a lot of websites that offer grammar games and exercises. YouTube and Duolingo will have lot of tutorials to help you out. With the new words you have just memorized, it is not enough that you only have them in mind. Make better use of your newly learned vocabularies by practicing writing sentences using those words. Also when lecturers teach you about grammar and give you feedback, listen to them. Find out whether you have a recurring problem with any certain subject. For example, do you frequently receive feedback regarding run-on sentences or have issues with subject-verb agreement? If so, make sure to pay close attention to those details when proofreading your assignments. It could even be a good idea to make your own specific checklist of things to look out for in your writing and then ask them for corrections.
