WHY you’re sending them, and WHEN they can retur n.
WRITE
on the pink band
The phone number the ED nurse can call to reach you directly
for
handover. Place the pink band on the resident’s wrist.
SEND
with ambulance
All copi es of relevant docum entation, including the MOST.
USE
the IDRAW tool
To verbally communicate the resident’s status to the ED Clinical Nurse
Leader / Nurse Clinician.
IF ADMITTED
TO IN-PATIEN T
CARE UNIT
Call the hospital unit daily to discuss resident status and discharge
plans (you ARE allowed to receive updates).
