Q3. Write a covering letter (fully-blocked style) to accompany your CV in response to

the following advertisement: O’Brien, Hunt & Stanley Ltd. Civil Engineers.

We have a vacancy for a graduate Civil Engineer in our Construction Dept.

Successful candidates should have a relevant third level qualification. Applicant must be computer literate and have excellent organisational and presentation skills.

Previous experience in team-work would be an asset.

(v) Give a brief account of the meaning of a memo to file and outline its uses in the business world. (vi) What are the advantages of a well-written press release? Explain the term embargo date. (vii) Briefly outline the preparations you would make before attending your first job interview. (vii) Give three advantages of the email as a memo format.
