Develop your own self-care plan. A self-care plan can help you manage your stress, enhance your health and well-being, and increase your academic performance. In your self-care plan, include the things you need to do and need to avoid to increase well-being. Specifically, make your self-care plan in the following six dimensions: physical, cognitive, emotional, social, moral, and spiritual. Then make a reflection paper on the things you realized from the activity and the reasons why it is important to create your own self-care plan. My Self-Care Plan Physical Cognitive โ Create a routine that will make me productive โ Make sure to have adequate sleep โ Eat and drink healthy everyday by avoiding junk and oily foods, as well as liquors. โ Make sure to find time to exercise at least three to four times a week to keep my body strong. โ Read books and learn. Allow my mind to wander and think of new ideas. โ Practice being logical most of the time and not be emotional. โ Meditate and learn how to find peace amidst the chaos inside my head. โ Practice thinking positively. Emotional Social โ Practice conducting self emotional assessment. Self awareness will help to improve emotional response to avoid getting overwhelmed all the time or getting sudden outbursts. โ Start a journal and speak up. My values might change as I grew up as and it is normal. grow. Accepting the fact that I am a human being and there's more to life to explore. โ Connecting to nature by having a picnic, going to the sea and camping as it was said that spiritual self is close to nature. So most people go to nature to find themselves. Creating a self-care plan is very important and useful. It helped me reflect and know myself better. Like how I am so used to bottle things up rather than ask for help, resulting to a sudden outburst of emotion in the end as the bottle can't contain it anymore. It's not healthy and I know that I should change. Additionally, it also helped me realized how focus I am to only one thing, my studies, and it's binding me, stopping me to discover new things and opportunities. Busy enough to take care of myself? I now realized that I won't achieve my long term goals at this point. Implementing my self care plan will help and guide me to a more organized, better and healthier life. It is not selfish to take care of myself. Just like what other people said, we only live once so we should live our life savoring every moment and reaching our utmost potential. However, it doesn't mean that we should only think about ourselves. We are all different but other people only live once too so we should still practice kindness, compassion and respect while we thrive to improve and take care of ourselves.
