Micro-CT in Mechanical Analysis: Geometric Properties Extraction, Summaries of Computed Tomography

An overview of micro-ct technology and its applications in mechanical analysis, focusing on the extraction of geometric properties such as surface area, volume, porosity, wall thickness, and space orientation. Micro-ct is a gold standard for volumetric modeling and sensitivity analysis, although other undamaged inspection applications can be used for some superficial shell models. The document also mentions a literature review comparing micro-ct with other methods in determining geometric characteristics of structures.
