List down the 10 learnings from Module 3:
• As a student we accumulate learning inside the four corners of the classroom, but
as we tackle about the lesson, Community Immersion, I have realized that there are
more to be learned outside the classroom.
• As what mentioned during the discussion, one should be able to get out of their
shell to know what lies beyond their limits and see another perspective of life.
• Moreover, as a psychology student, it's essential for us to engage in such activities
since we study human behaviors and uncovering them through practical
experiences enhances our understanding.
• Another key insight from module 3 is that through Community Immersion, students
are exposed to diverse perspectives of life that extend beyond their own
understanding. This exposure allows students to encounter personalities and
experiences they may not be familiar with, enriching their understanding of the
world.
• In this module, I managed to completely understand that as a student, being
exposed to different cultures, norms, communities, is a chance for me to develop
good values and skills.
• Community Immersion is an advantage for both students and the community. While
students gain valuable experience and knowledge, communities benefit from the
assistance and support provided by students.
• Through Community Immersion, students become aware of current-day issues that
require attention, allowing them to take action and seek solutions.
• Students are given the opportunity to be involved and contribute to the community.
• Lastly, students are capable of being part of what is known as “social capital”,
wherein they get to build connections with other people and advocate
empowerment throughout the community.
