- Def: The combined action of a group of people, especially when effective
and efficient (ex: my group has a good sense of teamwork)
In a business setting, teamwork is crucial to the successful resolution of
the problems that arise throughout the days and weeks of any company’s
operations.
“We need to work smarter, not harder”
II, Teamwork Model
1. The Tuckman Model (Tuckman B, 1965)
- 4 stages: Forming, storming, norming and performing (a 5th stage was
added later: adjourning)
2. The DISC Model (Dr William
Moulton Marston, 1928)
- This model focuses on conflict
resolution in teamwork by
predicting the behaviors of 4
different personality traits
usually found in teams/groups
- Dominance, Inducement,
Submission and Compliance
- The modern version: Dominance, Influence/Inspiring,
Steadiness/Supportive, and Compliance/Conscientiousness

  1. Self-awareness  Gain a better understanding of your strengths, weakness, communication style, and work preferences  make more informed decisions about career and how to interact with others in the workplace
  2. Improved communication  Communicate more effectively with others -> Can adapt your communication style to better fit the needs of those you are interacting with  improve the quality of your relationships and the outcomes of your collaborations
  3. Better teamwork

 My model: Autocratic leader VI, Reflective Learning

  • Reflective Learning involves looking back at something, a past experience or idea, and critically analyzing the event  help students learn from their past experiences and turn surface learning into deep learning
