Press the Stat
key on your
calculator. It is
located in the
second row from
the top, the third
button.
Type the weights
into L1 pressing
ENTER after
each number.
Press either
ENTER or 1 to
go to the Edit
screen. If there is
data in your list
you will need to
clear it first.

Press the right
arrow key to
move over to L2.
Type the Fuel
usage rate in L2,
pressing ENTER
after each number.
You can use any
list you want, you
do not have to use
L1 and L2.
Press 2nd then
STAT PLOT.
(The STAT
PLOT is located
on the Y= key
just below the
screen.)
Press ENTER or
1 to select
Plot!1. Your
cursor should be
flashing on the
word On.
Press ENTER to
turn the plot on.
Press the Stat key
on your calculator.
It is located in the
second row from
the top, the third
button.
Press either
ENTER or 1 to
go to the Edit
screen.
Use the arrow
keys until the L1
at the top of the
list is
highlighted.
Press the Clear key and then the ENTER.
Key. DO NOT press the DEL key. This
will delete the list not clear the list. If you
do delete a list you can press the Stat key,
5:SetUpEditorand ENTER

Press the Stat key on your calculator. It is located in the second row from the top, the third button. Type the weights into L 1 pressing ENTER after each number. Press either ENTER or 1 to go to the Edit screen. If there is data in your list you will need to clear it first. (See below) Press the right arrow key to move over to L 2. Type the Fuel usage rate in L 2 , pressing ENTER after each number. You can use any list you want, you do not have to use L 1 and L 2. Press 2nd then STAT PLOT. (The STAT PLOT is located on the Y= key just below the screen.) Press ENTER or 1 to select Plot 1. Your cursor should be flashing on the word On. Press ENTER to turn the plot on. The next 2 lines are the different types of graphs. The first one is a scatterplot and the second is a line graph. These are the only two types we will use in this class. The next two lines are the lists you used for the x and y values. If you need to change these, then press 2nd and the number corresponding to the list you need. The last line is the mark the calculator will use for the points. Now press Zoom (3rd^ button over under the screen) and 9 to have the calculator set the scale for the axes. ( 9:ZoomStat ) Press the Stat key on your calculator. It is located in the second row from the top, the third button. Press either ENTER or 1 to go to the Edit screen. Use the arrow keys until the L 1 at the top of the list is highlighted. Press the Clear key and then the ENTER. Key. DO NOT press the DEL key. This will delete the list not clear the list.
