Assignment Procedure
1. Row Operation: Select minimum value from each row and subtract that minimum value
from the elements of the corresponding row. Then assign maximum number of Zero’s.
(Condition is one job to one person only).
2. Column Operation: Select minimum value from each column and subtract that
minimum value from the elements of the corresponding column. Then assign maximum
number of Zero’s. (Condition is one job to one person only).
3. a. Put tick mark for the rows which are not having assigned zero.
b. If there is any unassigned zero’s in the marked row, then put tick mark for that column
(s).
c. If there is any assigned zero in the marked column, then put tick mark for that row.
d. Repeat b and c.
e. Draw lines through unticked rows and ticked columns.
f. Select minimum value from the elements which are out of the line.
g. Subtract that minimum value from the elements which are out of the line and add that
minimum value for the intersection elements. (Do not change the elements which are on
the line).
h. Assign maximum number of Zero’s.
i. Repeat third step until you get the maximum number of assignments.

Assignment Procedure

c. If there is any assigned zero in the marked column, then put tick mark for that row.

d. Repeat b and c.

e. Draw lines through unticked rows and ticked columns.

f. Select minimum value from the elements which are out of the line.

g. Subtract that minimum value from the elements which are out of the line and add that minimum value for the intersection elements. (Do not change the elements which are on the line).

h. Assign maximum number of Zero’s.

i. Repeat third step until you get the maximum number of assignments.
