Lichens Hubungan simbiosis antara fungi ( umumnya ascomycetes) & photosynthetic autotroph (typically an alga or cyanobacterium) Sensitif terhadap polusi udara Bbrp bentuk – crustose (datar & berkulit keras), foliose (spt daun, kurang melekat erat pada substrat), fruticose (bbtk spt sabuk hingga silindris, tumbuh tegak atau bergantung); bentuk antara umumnya tdpt Typically divided into 1 or more layers internally
Lichens cont. Cructose lichens , tumbuh kearah substratum dan membentuk kerak Foliose lichens , tumbuh serupa lembaran daun Fruticose lichens , mempunyai pemanjangan seperti jari. Badan (thallus) lichens terbentuk saat hyphae fungi tumbuh disekeliling alga, menjadi medulla. Hyphae fungi memanjang kearah dalam tubuh lichens membentuk rhizines yang berfungsi untuk perlekatan. Hyphae fungi juga membentuk kortex yang merupakan penutup permukaan alga.
