Professional Introduction (^) To electronically introduce myself, I am Isabella Ricci G. Agdipa, but my preferred name is Izzy, which is my nickname. I was born and raised in the Philippines and am a full-blooded Filipina. We arrived in Canada way back in 2020, during a pandemic, so we were grateful that we passed all the screening and swab tests and came healthy here in Canada. There is nothing much about me besides my hobbies, such as playing the ukulele, guitar, and piano. Also, I am into a martial art and love spending time with my family and friends. Moreover, last year though it is not related to the nursing field, I worked last May 2022, and it was a fast food chain. However, I can sense and realize that whatever work I take; there is always part of it that relates to nursing. One crucial thing I possessed and learned when I took that job was to deal with pressured situations and to be flexible in any aspect of life. In addition, my always goal is to finish this program with flying colours, to become a well-mannered person, and to be consistent. Lastly, I started liking nursing when I was 13 years old because I love talking to people and having fun with them, and when I was a bit aware of the world, I still chose to become a nurse because my ultimate reason for that is to help people in need. Analyze workshop 1 The most valuable thing I learn is to put a reference list and in-text citations correctly. Learning these workshops gave me many benefits in my personal and professional development, such as acknowledging the author, knowing when and what to cite, and, most significantly, avoiding plagiarism. Firstly, I realized that owning the author's works is like introducing the finished product of your mother's dish to everybody. You get their ideas as you read articles, read someone else's writing, books, or journals, and put them in your paper. Let us say that I wrote the original text, and someone critiqued and made a paper about it, and the person did not acknowledge my work; of course, I will feel neglected. So, that is the same with this workshop that I went through; it taught me to recognize the authors behind those articles and to respect their identity. Secondly, knowing what and when to cite is the next important thing to learn since we can only do a proper reference or in-text citation if we know the guidelines. There are many guidelines to refer to regarding when and what to cite. Common knowledge does not need to mention because many people know the meaning of it like; for example, Canada has a flag, and its colour is red and white. Next, a direct quote should put citations in the paragraph and the reference list, considering that you are now using the author's exact words. Lastly, paraphrasing and summarizing also need to cite, although you use your own words. However, the idea is still not yours, so you must mention them. Overall, knowing the proper way to reference and what and when to cite will eventually lead to avoiding plagiarism because you recognize the author's work, which is the most critical thing to

learn when writing an academic paper. Analyze workshop 2 The most valuable topics I learned in this workshop are to prepare myself before, during, and after the test. Also, this workshop benefits me, especially in my personal and professional life. One of the reasons is that it gives me different sets of strategies before doing the test because I always tend to overwhelm by my courses, especially right now. When you are at the stage of being a college or university student, many workloads are on your way every day, and the tests, too. Hence, reading this workshop boosted my confidence to practice studying regularly, making flashcards, managing my time, and many more. Handling time is the best strategy when preparing for tests, especially in nursing. Next, creating a memory dump, reading the direction carefully, and practicing relaxation is the next crucial part that I learned, considering that you are well prepared, but being stressed out is always typical for certain people, especially on the day of the tests. First, making a dump memory can initially review yourself on the test; you can write some keywords for you to remember some of the topics in your course. Next, carefully reading the direction can also make your life easier because you will know what to do in your exam. But make sure you read every test section’s instructions because not all test sections are the same. Lastly, I realized to practice relaxation during tests because it will lessen my anxiety, and I can perform and think well. Overall, whatever score you get, you should always thank yourself for doing such a reasonable effort and job. and you can arrange what is more difficult to finish than the easy one (Lyness, 2016). Lastly, overcoming procrastination can help you lessen your stress and do well in your studies. Keeping an organized life is one of the best strategies for overcoming it. It becomes easier to ignore test and project due dates once they are written on a calendar. When you sit down to organize and plan your work, you can see how long things take (Lyness, 2016). The learning needs I met were those I’ve said about, and I achieved the learning goals because after I read all the modules inside that workshop, I immediately applied them to myself. There is nothing wrong if we use the learning we learnt a few seconds ago because it is necessary. Plan Workshop 1 My steps to achieve this workshop and apply it daily are always to cite everything, even if it is not an assignment in our school, share my knowledge with anyone else who needs it, and apply them properly. I can use these learnings in the PN program by ensuring I apply them properly, especially right now. Doing this assignment helps me do the right thing because I want to acknowledge the authors from whom I got ideas to be respected and identified by someone else. In addition, my skills will be honed here in making the right paper. My plan to do next is always to practice this format anytime I need it, like borrowing pictures, quoting words and many more. Workshop 2 What are your next steps? How will you use this learning in the PN program? What are your future learning needs? What do you plan to do next? (Two or three sentences, double spaced). My steps in accomplishing the workshop are always studying ahead (advance reading), managing time, and rewarding myself. In doing so, this workshop is beneficial in learning the PN program because we need to determine how much workload our professor will give, so why not study ahead of time, right? Moreover, my future learning plan is to apply bit by bit all the knowledge I know from this module; from now on and forward, I will do my best to use them in my phase. Overall, I follow the tips I learned consistently because if I start, I need to finish it.
