CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
Background of the study
In the face of increasingly frequent vehicle breakdowns, drivers
find themselves grappling with the dual challenges of mechanical
failures and Finding vehicle workshop that is near the area. This
issue not only poses a risk to drivers but also contributes to
increased traffic congestion as damaged vehicles remain on the
road longer.
Aklan is well-known for its tourism, which indicates a high
volume of motor traffic, mainly buses, vans, and tricycles. Road
quality, maintenance methods, and vehicle age are all factors
that might have an impact on vehicle reliability. The provincial
road network consists of national, provincial, and municipal
roadways, with varying maintenance quality. Rural roads may be
less well-maintained, perhaps resulting to greater vehicle
breakdown rates than more urbanized places such as Kalibo, where
infrastructure is more developed due to tourism demand.
This system will significantly enhance convenience for drivers by
providing them time information about the nearest vehicle
workshops and available mechanics. By enabling drivers to easily
locate and contact nearby repair services, it will reduce
downtime and stress associated with vehicle breakdowns.
Additionally, this system will help promote local vehicle
workshops in Aklan, boosting their visibility and potentially
increasing their customer base. Overall, it aims to create a more
efficient and supportive environment for both drivers and local
businesses.

business idea is the answer to the needs of the people in DKI Jakarta. Qualitative analysis is used in analyzing non-financial feasibility such as marketing aspects, technical aspects as well as management and legal aspects. Quantitative analysis is used to analyze OT Repair business ideas that can meet community needs and feasibility based on investment criteria. The financial aspect shows the BEP is Rp. 410,636,079, the NPV is Rp. 80,767,898, the IRR is Rp. 13%, a PI of 1.16 and a payback period of 3 years and 3 months. The results of this feasibility analysis show that the OT Repair business is feasible based on market and marketing, technical, and management as well as financial aspects. However, it is not feasible based on legal aspects until the process of establishing the legal entity is carried out. https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/554044991.pdf Vehicle Workshop Scheduling Management System According to: Mascranghe, Antony Brayon The automotive industry in Sri Lanka is shifting slowly toward a service-oriented model with new entrants concentrating extensively on customer experience and consumer data. Associated Motorways Private (LTD) is one of the major giants in Automotive Sri Lanka which offers a reliable, modern, customer solutions. However, the service sector doesn’t operate efficiently in terms of system point of view. There are minor loopholes that may impact the brand value of the company. The automobile service appointment system is very inefficient. The current online appointment is not working properly. The customer must either visit the workshop or call the workshop to make an appointment. If the customer discovers the part replacement requirement that he/she will visit or call the parts division to find out if the parts are available, often the parts may not be in the current stock so that the customer will be disappointed and purchase from competitors. During services, there is a challenge in monitoring the on-going level of progress, because the customer has to contact the service person to determine the level of completion. In addition, the IN and OUT time of the service person is not measured efficiently, as this is a necessary requirement. Therefore, the total time taken for a specific job is not

accurate. In delivering an effective IT solution for the vehicle repair process, it was analyzed through the aid of literature, interviews, and questionnaires, Web application would be ideal for this project and hence the Prototype approach method has been chosen although it will be built up further into a fully functional solution. The implemented version of the 'Vehicle Workshop Scheduling Management System' was reviewed by expert and non-expert users, while further recommendations were rendered to improve the solution. http://dlib.iit.ac.lk/xmlui/handle/123456789/ Local: V-Locate: Development of Web-Based Vulcanizing Shop Locator for 2nd District of Oriental Mindoro According to: Uriel M Melendres, Marlon D Balboa, Mariel G Clementer When traveling, getting a punctured tire is a common and inevitable problem that makes a vulcanizing shop business in demand in the province. Vulcanizing shop repairs flat tires and sells a typical car and motorcycle needs. However, this small business was not tagged in the known navigation application. Thus, the proponents conceptualized a Web-based application locating the nearest vulcanizing shops and motorcycle spare parts stores. The V-locate will not just provide the nearest shops and stores but also the information like the offered products and services. The scope of the map on the said application is only limited to the areas within the 2nd^ District of Oriental Mindoro. https://stepacademic.net/ijcsr/article/view/
