III. Procedure: Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity A. Preliminary Activities

  4. Checking of Attendance B. Review Alright class, before we proceed to our new lesson this morning. Let us have a recap about our lesson yesterday. “What was our lesson all about yesterday?” “Yes, that is correct! Yesterday, we tackled nouns.” (Teacher will ask further questions to the class to review them about nouns.) C. Motivation (The teacher will present a video to the pupils that relates common and proper nouns.) “From the video I have presented in class, what places have you seen?” “Yes, correct! So, from that video we will now begin our new lesson. Regarding what you have said that you have observed from the video, all of those are nouns and this time we will talk about their classification. The Common Nouns and Proper Nouns.” D. Lesson Proper Common Nouns In a sentence, common nouns serve as general nouns. They are generalized individuals, locations, objects, and concepts. Common nouns include, for instance: General population: buddy, student, woman Common locations: a living room, a supermarket, or a school General things: puppy, cloud, television Broad concepts: love, belief, and friendship (Pupil 1 will lead a prayer) (Pupils will answer) (Pupil 2 will answer)

Application (Teacher will ask some questions regarding the topic that has been discussed.) “Alright pupils, now let me ask you, what are Proper and Common Nouns? Give me examples of Common nouns and Proper nouns.” The Bible speaks to us the importance of having a good name. Let us read the verse from the book of Proverbs 22:1. “A good name is more desirable than great riches.”

G. Evaluation (Teacher will give activities to the pupils.) Activity 1: Direction: Students will be classifying the Proper Nouns and Common Nouns that were posted on the board. Their answers will be written on a piece of paper. H. Generalization (Teacher will present a video about the summary of the lesson and will ask direct questions.) Activity 2. Direction: By group. The teacher will group the students and each group will be given a piece of illustration board and chalk. Further instruction will be given by the teacher. H. Assessment (Teacher will provide the activity with instructions that are given to the class)
