Antibiotics/ Corticosteroi ds, Ophthalmic Maxitrol combines two antibiotics (Neomycin Sulfate and Polymyxin B Sulfate) that offers broad spectrum antibacterial activity with the anti-inflammatory activity of a Corticosteroid, dexamethasone, for combating certain microbial infections of the Anterior segment The solution in MAXITROL eye drops has two effects: it reduces inflammation symptoms due to the corticosteroid dexamethasone and has an anti- infective impact due to the two antibiotics polymyxin B and neomycin. Blurred Vision Tunnel Vision Eye Pain Seeing Halos around lights Swelling, redness, severe discomfort, crusting, or drainage (sign of infections) Pain behind eyes Discontinue the drug if hypersensitivity reactions, fungal infection or superinfection occurs.
