1. Right lower leg - It lies between the knee and the ankle
2. Shin - the front of the leg below the knee.
3. Febrile - having or showing the symptoms of a fever.
4. Diffusely swollen – evenly enlarged swelling
5. Ultrasound imaging - a diagnostic medical procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce dynamic visual images of organs, tissues or blood flow inside the
body.
6. Subperiosteal fluid – fluid beneath periosteum (between periosteum and bone)
7. erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR or sed rate) - rate at which red blood cells sediment in a period of one hour. It is a common hematology test, and is a non-specific
measure of inflammation.
8. CRP-C-reactive protein-chronic infection of unknown causes
9. Cloxacillin - an antibiotic useful for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections. This includes impetigo, cellulitis, pneumonia, septic arthritis, and otitis externa. It is not effective for methicillin-
resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
10. Fusidic acid - prescribed for skin infections caused by germs called staphylococcal bacteria.
