Alternative Delivery
System
This chapter deals with the delivery systems where teaching and learning may take place. These alternative delivery systems are helpful for learner's who cannot come physically in school but are very eager to learn. See the available alternative delivery systems discussed in this chapter and try to assess whether these are effective as the formal education where students meet their teachers in person at the four walls of the room.
( Short Activity)
These are students who wish to be educated
without confining themselves in the four
corners of the room. They want to learn
where they will not be required to report
physically in class during school days.
Learning anytime and anywhere is possible
through DIstance Education using a variety of
Alternative Delivery Systems (ADS).
Students who wish to learn despite the long
distance and shortness in finances can now
make their dreams within reach through ADS.
These ADS help in bridging the gap between the teachers and the students of different standards when it comes to instruction. Before getting into the details of ADS, let us first find out what Distance Education is, then let us determine how these ADS help teachers and students in making teaching and learning happen.
- Provides learners with physical disabilities,work, and other personal reasons a chance to learn and be educated without attending formal schooling.
- It aims to achieve independent learning.
